Kids man. Seriously. Hard to deal with certain stuff once you get older.
I just want to play the fucking game in peace! Wish there was an invisible feature so I can log on discreetly.
Completely agree. There’s no reason to do Inferno Diablo, or any boss for that matter, doesn’t make much sense.
The other thing is you have Blizzard CM’s like Bashiok saying “come back when you have perfect items from Inferno.” Well with that I can get my Inferno Diablo kill with minimum gear and then just buy perfect items off the Auction House. Minimal farming required.
The more I think about this the more the system Blizzard designed here is very broken.
So Diablo has been killed on Inferno. Very disappointing I must say. The problem is the Act bosses are too easy, so you can just corpse hop and skip all the trash just to down the bosses. I know Blizzard wants people to focus on the item hunt, but what is the point of farming gear if to beat the game does not require the gear? It seems kind of broken.
Now the Champion monsters are hard as hell, which why people came up with ways to skip them. Blizzard has said before release the point of inferno was to take down Champions to farm gear so you can do the next Act. As of now this is completely trivialized because it is not necessary. Also, in my experience most people like to take the path of least resistance when it comes to difficult things if the path is available. Lastly, if the gear is not required does that not fuck over Blizzard’s Real Auction Money House? They delayed it a week, maybe this is to get a patch up that fixes inferno before then? You know can’t have everyone flooding the market with Inferno rares. It would seem they only intended a few people able to do inferno and put items on Auction house, so the masses will buy gear because they perceive it would give them an easier time.
Then again the masses don’t know much about the game; like there is an elective mode that allows you to make better skill builds.
Game is fun as hell and I know will be playing through Inferno a ton with all the characters. But the whole thing seems a bit diminished with the bosses being so easy compared to the trash. The bosses are easy because they have set mechanics that are not hard. Hope Blizzard at the very least fixes some of these “clever use of game mechanics.”
Wait, This Isn’t Brill
LMFAO!

Game is top-notch and defiantly something worth trying after Diablo III has died down.
My only concern is it too easy even on Elite difficulty (you can choose your difficulty right of the bat in Torchlight 2 as oppose to completing the game to unlock. Now this may change since there is new game+ that goes on forever that increases the difficulty. But on Elite mobs just have more health and do more damage.
But nothing would own me and I was looking at gear drops and I know I could totally trivialize the game if I payed attention to gear and spent my Attribute points accordingly.
That’s the thing, I only had to play the game for 20 minutes and look at loot drops. I basically figured out the game in that time and decided I did not need to play this game right now. With Diablo III I feel there is a lot to figure out because of the way skills work and how Champion monsters have crazy affix combinations that make you think about what six skills you should take.
Diablo III has stuff that will totally tear you a new asshole; and intentionally so. The affixes on monsters in Diablo III were made to keep the game challenging despite gear and build because some combos are just lethal.
Anyway, what I like about Torchlight II is it seems more focused on adventure as in being out in the world (there seems to be a ton more randomization of the world and dungeons compared to Diablo III). In Torchlight II you never have to go back to town because you can just send your companion to go sell stuff and even give it a shopping list to pick up potions. So, it does have a different pacing to it.
Torchlight II also feels tighter in controls and certain things are more responsive than Diablo III (namely attacking and picking up loot.) However, Diablo III is more responsive when it comes to moving. Speaking of moving, Torchlight II is a lot faster. Speedy is the best way to describe it. Both games have great spell animations.
The best part of Torchlight II is the soundtrack. OMG! Man Blizzard sucks for losing Matt Ulemen.
Another plus, is the game supports a wide range of players in a game. You can have up to six players. With mods you can have higher. Torchlight II can be modded allowing you to tailor the game to your needs (so I am not too worried about difficulty if I can get an insane mode mod). Also there is an offline mode and LAN play. So you don’t have to worry about server stability issues like as seen with the Diablo III launch.
So yeah… I will be giving Torchlight II a look when I have gotten tired of Diablo III (who knows when that will be?). Besides Torchlight II will only cost you $20; believe me the game is just as high quality has a full priced game.
Now back to Diablo III.
